Our Competition Team

Competitive Dance is a sport in which dancers perform in front of a panel of judges, competing against dancers from studios either across the state/local area (regionals) or across the country (nationals).

While many studios charge for the choreography on top of the class/rehearsal time, Saint Germain Academy of Dance charges only for the competitive class, which includes the cost of the choreography, rehearsal, and cleaning up of 5 dances.

Each team member should be taking a minimum of 1 ballet class per week, 1 acro class per week, and 1 competitive class per week. If team members want to take more classes, each additional class will be half price

​

Dancers on the competition team will perform in several competitions throughout the dance season and will be expected to participate in class and be role models for other dancers both in our studio and at competitions.

Competition Classes begin in September, after regular dance classes have started. Registration for the team classes ends in October.
